Verterre Group — Environmental Scientists and Engineers

Sample Projects

Georgia Center Market — Georgia, Vermont

During routine underground storage tank removal activities, Verterre discovered gasoline contamination in soil and groundwater adjacent to a convenience store and apartment building. In addition, gasoline contamination was discovered in the basement sump, in a drainage ditch where the sump pump discharged, and in indoor air in the basement of the building.

Verterre completed a subsurface investigation to evaluate the extent of soil and groundwater contamination. Based on the investigation findings, Verterre prepared a Corrective Action Plan and was contracted to reduce groundwater contaminant concentrations by at least 95% and eliminate the impacts to indoor air and surface water.

Contaminants of concern in the site groundwater have successfully been reduced by more than 95% as compared to baseline concentrations. In addition, measurable indoor air and surface water impacts have been eliminated.
